Papa Frank is a charcoal stop motion animation inspired by a painting done by my late grandfather. I have found that with loss, we can still share a connection with our loved ones through art and the passions we shared. Growing up, I admired his artistic nature and dreamed to approach life through a similar lens. In 2019, I began an illustration of someone peering through a set of window blinds. Later that year, I was gifted one of my grandfather's paintings from my grandmother; a portrait of himself peering through window blinds.
